Showering Steven With Fan Mail!

July 25, 2017

Many of you have heard the story about Jackson “Steven” in Ecuador who got burned by a group of teenaged boys. He is making progress in his’ treatments, but he most likely will endure operations until the end of September. His’ case worker mentioned that he cries/screams quite a bit, because he is really scared. Can you imagine waking up being surround by plastic (which keeps the infection out), and seeing and hearing all the loud machines of a hospital? When I asked about us sending cards, the case worker got so excited!   She even offered to put up the cards all over his’ room to make him feel special and loved. Will you help me do this?

Feel free to drop cards by my desk or leave a comment below, and I will put together a box of letters every week to send to him!

    1. Dearest Steven,

I am the mother of a 15 year old boy and so, when I think of you, I think of my own son, and I am very sad that you have gone through something so painful and so scary at such a young age. I can tell you are a strong boy and that you are a fighter! You must never forget that you are loved by many people and that we are all praying for you every day. Most of all, Jesus loves you and he will never leave your side. He will carry you through every difficulty and he is with you now as you recover from your injuries. With much, much love, Heather
